Organizing your data in GoldMine often goes beyond the basic default contact information fields. Creating custom tabs which display organized & relevant data allows a very easy means to display key contact information. Furthermore, every field that you add becomes instantly searchable ie, adding a birthday month field will allow you to prepare birthday cards for all clients that month.

Identifying records which do not have the necessary information is a good way to help the integrity of your database. By searching on required fields which are empty you are able to ensure that all the crucial operational information for each contact is in your database.
GoldMine Messaging
GoldMine messaging is a very useful tool when sending internal emails regarding a particular contact. GoldMine messaging makes internal communications much more organized, and thus is one of our most used functions. Rather than linking the email to the co-worker to whom you are sending the email, it is linked to the contact you are discussing, and thus will be displayed in that contact’s history tab.
Using the Rollover Function
The rollover tool makes it easy to move your scheduled events en masse which makes for much better organization during these times off. The rollover function allows you to push scheduled events to another user, or simply move them to another date.
How to Create Relationship Tab
One of GoldMine’s most powerful tools is the Relationship Tree. The relationship tree allows you to visually display the structure of any organization. Organization trees also make it very easy to find communications with a group or a sub-group within an organization.
